Kellie martin is an American film, television as well as stage actor. Her most well-known roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Other notable roles include the lead role in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin was able to begin her career in acting at the young age of seven, when her aunt who served as an nanny to Michael Landon's children helped her land her a role in the 1982 show "Father Murphy.". Following her graduation from Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the smaller screen as well as on the big. Martin as well as being an excellent actor and dancer, she is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Martin's sister, who died of Lupus at the age of 19, led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
